Expression of Interest – Connect Northamptonshire “Ambassadors of Change” Leadership Seminars

Background to project: 


Northamptonshire’s VCSE Community (Voluntary & Community Groups and Social Enterprises) have been awarded three years of funding from the National Lottery Community Health Equalities Fund to embed it’s skills and expertise in the county’s Integrated Care System – the project aims to transform the culture of collaborative working practices with our System Partners in Public Health, NHS Partnerships,  as well as our two unitary Local Authorities, and develop Senior Leaders for the future resilience of the VCSE Sector in an ever-changing sphere of influence and decision making.

Identifying and celebrating existing community involvement systems is at the centre of this transformation process, and identifying strength in our Community Assets base of emerging leaders is fundamental.

We are now in the process of recruiting 12 further “Ambassadors of Change” (Cohort 2) from Northamptonshire’s VCSE, and are looking for strengths focused trainers / facilitators to provide THREE face to face leadership seminars at a Northamptonshire venue

We are encouraging applications from a professional Strengths Focused leadership coach to encourage delegates to look at the skills, expertise and insight that they provide, individually and through their provider organisations, to the Communities that they work within. The seminars will take place monthly, and trainers / facilitators will be reimbursed for reasonable travel expenses to the venues

Delegates will be recruited from a range of positions already employed within Northamptonshire’s VCSE, including trustees, project workers & and Senior Management Teams. We expect that each seminar will be presented to the12 delegates, and that all delegates will attend all seminars as a progressive experience to aid succession planning activities within the sector.

We invite expressions of interest from evidence based Strength Focused leadership coach, both from within the Northamptonshire VCSE, or from industry or Public sector leadership experts, by Friday 16th February,  to include a proposal to encourage:

  • Connection of sector newcomers to established veterans in the field
  • Career Guidance and Insight to career paths in the sector
  • Career advancement to improve their performance and make wise career decisions, with oversight from their provider organisations, improving their long term career outlook

Budget for Leadership Seminars (including travel costs) = £1,000 (provided by the Health Equalities Grant)
